President of the CCU Youth League

Jean Thierry Monsenepwo earned his political stripes within the Convention des Congolais Unis (CCU) alongside Lambert Mende Omalanga, then Government spokesman. Leading the party's Youth League, he built his reputation as a formidable communicator and grassroots mobilizer.

January 6, 2021

Joining the Union sacrée de la Nation

Received at the Presidency of the Republic alongside Lambert Mende, he answered Head of State Félix Tshisekedi's call to build the Union sacrée de la Nation. He would become one of its most emblematic communicators, defending the presidential record across the country's television and radio platforms.

2021 — 2023

Voice of the Union sacrée

A regular guest on Top Congo FM, Radio Okapi and major Congolese media, he distinguished himself by publishing a series of op-eds — more than twenty-six to date — on peace in the East, constitutional reform, the fight against corruption and the defense of institutions.

Appointed by decree of Portfolio Minister Adèle Kayinda, on the Head of State's choice, he took over the chairmanship of the Board of the State-owned oil company, expressing his "gratitude to the President of the Republic" and his dedication to making possible "the dream of a Congo more beautiful than before."

Strategic mission to South Africa

He led a seven-day mission to South Africa with the Management Committee: a visit to the DRC embassy in Johannesburg, the launch of the partnership with GIMGRO to modernize service stations in four major Congolese cities, and an agreement with Africa Union Financial Services to produce lubricants adapted to DRC climates.

The historic Dar es Salaam agreement

COBIL SA signed a partnership with Scientia Capital Limited / Africa Oil guaranteeing the monthly delivery of 70,000 metric tons of fuel — 70 million liters — to end shortages and stabilize prices on the Congolese market.

Historic fuel price drop
