Jean Thierry Monsenepwo's vision for the Democratic Republic of Congo builds on the societal project championed by President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo: a sovereign, united, prosperous and respected Congo, where the State protects and the people decide.
The people first
Faithful to the credo "The People First," Jean Thierry Monsenepwo defends a human-centered development model. He regularly highlights the social achievements of the administration: free primary education, which has allowed millions of Congolese children to return to school; free maternity care, which protects mothers and newborns; and universal health coverage, the foundation of a social State under construction.
Sovereignty as a compass
Heir to Lumumbist thought, he places sovereignty at the heart of his vision: political sovereignty against interference, economic sovereignty against dependency, energy sovereignty against shortages. In his twenty-sixth op-ed, devoted to the constitutional debate, he recalls that "the sovereignty of the people stands above the texts," citing Article 5 of the Constitution: all power emanates from the people, who exercise it directly or through their representatives.

Peace through the force of law
Faced with aggression in the east of the country, he supports the Head of State's dual strategy: the strengthening of the DRC Armed Forces — now the eighth military power in Africa — and the diplomatic offensive that has isolated the aggressor on the international stage. For him, President Tshisekedi is "the Peacemaker of Central Africa," the one who chose the path of responsibility where others would have chosen escalation.
